YouTube Partner Program Eligibility
To join YPP, a channel must meet YouTube’s monetization policies and other eligibility requirements. YouTube also requires the channel to be located in an available country or region and have no active Community Guidelines strikes. Additional account requirements include two-step verification, access to advanced features, and an AdSense for YouTube account or the ability to set one up through YouTube Studio.

YPP 2027 Timeline: Before and After
YouTube has announced that the updated YPP entry thresholds take effect on February 1, 2027.
Before February 1, 2027, the existing ads and YouTube Premium revenue-sharing thresholds are 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 qualified watch hours in the previous 12 months or 10 million qualified Shorts views in the previous 90 days.
